The war between Russia and Ukraine continues
Russia-Ukraine War Latest News: While the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, several Indians working as support staff to the Russian army were discharged following the demand by the Indian Government, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Monday.
The MEA also stated that India is still committed, as a matter of "top priority", to actively pursuing with the Russian authorities regrading all the relevant cases of Indian nationals for an early discharge from the Russian army.
As per media reports, several Indians were working as security helpers in the Russian military. However, they were reportedly forced to even fight with Russian soldiers in certain areas along Russia's border with Ukraine.
It may be recalled that the Russia and Ukraine were engaged in a war a few years ago after the Russia started invasion in the Kiev.
It all started when the Ukraine was adamant over its stand to join the NATO. However, Russia didn't wanted Ukraine to join NATO. Although Russia started invading in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky didn't stepped back and is till fighting.
