Power board staff up in arms against the government over pay anomalisies

Shimla: HP state electricity board employees union today started the statewide agitation against the indifferent attitude of state finance department to resolve their pay anomalies. Addressing the employees’ protest at Rohru today, president of union K S Kharwara alleged that the finance department was delaying the decision of the Board of Director (BoD) and the direction issued by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to implement the decisions.

Addressing the employees’ protest at Rohru today, president of union K S Kharwara alleged that the finance department was delaying the decision of the Board of Director (BoD) and the direction issued by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to implement the decisions.

He alleged that Additional Chief Secretary Finance Srikant Baldi was misleading the government on the issue. He claimed that grade pay of 48 categories in the board had been reduced and in certain categories it has came down drastically.
