Landslide sets big boulders on Mandi-Kullu highway, threat persists

Mandi: A major landslide reported damaged shops and a temple in Hanogi on the Mandi-Kullu National Highway on Sunday morning, eyewitnesses and officials said.

Mandi: A major landslide reported damaged shops and a temple in Hanogi on the Mandi-Kullu National Highway on Sunday morning, eyewitnesses and officials said.

Eyewitnesses say big boulders rolled down from hills, hitting the Hanogi Mata temple and some shops nearby. No casualty has been reported so far, but authorities said the threat of more landslides persists. Additional district magistrate Mandi Rajiv Kumar said police have been deployed on the busy highway.
