Chandigarh: The Haryana State BJP President Subhash Barala spoke out on Tuesday for the first time ever since his son, Vikas Barala, was accused of stalking Varnika Kundu.

Chandigarh: The Haryana State BJP President Subhash Barala spoke out on Tuesday for the first time ever since his son, Vikas Barala, was accused of stalking Varnika Kundu.

While addressing a press briefing, he said, “Varnika is like my daughter, there is no pressure to influence the investigation.”

He added that “law should take its own course; BJP is the party which believes in women's rights and freedom.”

Meanwhile, the complainant’s father, IAS officer VS Kundu stated that it’s not a fight with any political party, it’s only with those people who tried to molest his daughter.

"DGP has assured me all CCTV footage on the route will be secured and taken as evidence. Also, various political party leaders came to me and gave their support but I requested them not to bring politics in this issue. I am not fighting with any political leader; my fight is with those guys who tried to molest my daughter. They have violated the laws brutally and I want to teach them a lesson for what they have done," Varnika’s father said.
