Sonepat: Two women were killed when the car they were travelling in fell into a canal near Nuran Khera village in Sonepat district today. They were coming for a religious function in Gohana. The car driver, Sub-Inspector Dharambir Saini, was yet to be traced.

The car fell into the canal near Nuran Khera village. Occupants of two cars following the car reached the spot and raised an alarm. Villagers rescued two victims and retrieved the car. Dharambir’s wife Sangeeta and brother’s wife Krishna were found dead. Inspector Raghubir Singh, his brother, and nephew’s wife Meena were injured. The police registered a case.
