Haryana traders observing ‘black day’ today

Panipat: Traders, including cloth merchants and textile manufacturers, will observe ‘black day’ tomorrow and organise a protest march against the GST.

Panipat: Traders, including cloth merchants and textile manufacturers, will observe ‘black day’ tomorrow and organise a protest march against the GST. The decision was taken at a meeting held under the banner of the Chambers of Textile Manufacturing Association at the Amar Bhawan Chowk here today.

Meanwhile, a peaceful bandh continued for the second day today. Around 2,000 cloth, blanket and other textile good stores, along with 5,000 small scale textile manufacturing units, remained shut.

Rakesh Chugh, president, CMTA said, “We will support ‘Bharat Bandh’ on June 30. Traders will wear black ribbons and participate in a protest march to observe Friday as ‘black day’.”
