During the visit, students learned about a variety of organic farming practices, including composting, natural methods of pest control, water conservation, mulching, and growing crops without the use of chemicals. Farm experts shared in-depth knowledge about the science and innovations driving organic agriculture. The students also got hands-on experience by actively engaging in activities like seed planting and compost preparation.

Babushahi quoted Director Dr. S. N. Rudra as saying, “Such educational tours are crucial for the holistic development of students. They not only link theoretical knowledge with practical application but also nurture sensitivity towards nature and the environment.”

Principal Tajinder Pal Kaur added, “Our goal is to ensure that students excel not only academically but also embrace life values, self-reliance, and social responsibility. The Sohangarh visit was truly an inspiring experience for them.”

At a time when the world is grappling with issues caused by the overuse of natural resources, the rush for fast agricultural production, and a lack of time and knowledge for practicing responsible farming and sustainable living, such educational tours are both timely and essential.
