Tamil Actor Abhinay Kinger Passes Away After a Long Battle with Liver Disease

Tamil actor “Abhinay Kinger”, best known for his debut role alongside “Dhanush” in the hit film “Thulluvadho Ilamai”, passed away at his Chennai residence early on Monday morning. He was “44 years old”.

Abhinay had been battling with liver-related health issues for quite a long time. Despite his deteriorating condition, he continued to work due to financial constraints and his dedication to his craft. The actor had been living alone in “Kodambakkam”, where his mortal remains will be kept for the public to pay their last respects.

The actor shared a heartfelt video appeal about his health and financial struggles. After this appeal, many members of the Tamil film fraternity, including “Dhanush” and “Comedian KPY Bala”, came forward to help Abhinay with medical expenses. Dhanush had reportedly donated INR 5 lakh, and KPY Bala contributed INR 1 lakh.

Abhinay made his debut in 2002 with “Thulluvadho Ilamai”, written by “Selvaraghavan” and directed by “Kasthuri Raja”. The film, which was about the story of six high school friends, was a cultural milestone, and it became a launch for many young talents into stardom. Abhinay’s character of a relatable youth resonated strongly with audiences.

Over the next decade, he acted in more than 15 films across Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada cinema. He also worked in “advertisements” and became a well-known “dubbing artiste”. He also dubbed for “Vidyut Jammwal” in the 2012 blockbuster “Thuppakki”. This film was directed by “AR Murugadoss”.

After a long health struggle, Abhinay made a quiet comeback this year in Abhishek Leslie's film “Game of Loans”. He attended the press conference for the movie in October, which is now his last public appearance.

His death has left the film community and fans in mourning. Many remember him not only for his talent but also for his perseverance and humility. Abhinay’s brief yet impactful journey remains etched in Tamil cinema’s memory as that of an artist who had a never-giving-up spirit, especially during hard times.
