The upcoming biopic on Judy Garland, starring Renee Zellweger, does not have the approval of the screen icon's daughter, Liza Minnelli.The film titled "Judy", which will be directed by Tony nominee and two-time Olivier winner Rupert Goold, will chronicle Garland's arrival to London in 1968 to perform in a series of sell-out shows.In a Facebook post, the "Cabaret" star said a report, which claimed that she bonded with Zellweger over her portrayal, is "100 percent fiction".

"I have never met nor spoken to Renee Zellweger... I don't know how these stories get started, but I do not approve nor sanction the upcoming film about Judy Garland in any way. Any reports to the contrary are 100 per cent fiction," Minnelli said in the post. Minnelli is the eldest of Garland's three children and her second husband, director Vincente Minnelli. She was born to the "Wizard of Oz" star in 1946.
