The Haryana Police has ordered the removal of 67 songs from various digital platforms to stop the glorification of weapons and violence.

The action was led by the Special Task Force (STF) and the Cyber Unit, which aims to curb the increasing influence of "gangster culture" and mafia lifestyles on the state's youth.

According to Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Ajay Singhal, the investigation revealed that these tracks portrayed an unrealistic image of criminal life and luxury, potentially pushing young people toward illegal activities.

While the police did not publicly name the specific songs or artists, officials stated that most of the objectionable content has already been blocked or removed following direct intervention.

STF IG Satheesh Balan added that the police have also engaged in discussions with singers and lyricists, advising them to produce more responsible content.

Furthermore, the cyber wing is now closely monitoring social media users who like or share posts glorifying criminals, as these platforms are often used by gangs to lure new recruits.
