Punjabi music sensation Karan Aujla, also known as ‘Geetaan Di Machine,’ is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata this Saturday. He will be sharing the stage with Bollywood actress Disha Patani. The pair recently collaborated on a hit track, which also featured Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, making it a highly anticipated musical collaboration.
The IPL, a cricket tournament that has become a national celebration, is set to kick off its 2025 season at the iconic Eden Gardens, where Royal Challengers Bangalore will face off against the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders.
In addition to Karan Aujla and Disha Patani, renowned playback singer Shreya Ghoshal will also grace the stage during the opening ceremony, as confirmed by the IPL.
Previous IPL opening ceremonies have seen performances from Bollywood stars such as Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and singers like Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, and AR Rahman.
