Negligence Alleged Against Shory Hospital, Pinjore in Singer's Death
Final Prayer For Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda To Be Held Today; Medical Negligence Reported News: The final prayer (Antim Ardas) for the late Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda will be held today, scheduled from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Many famous personalities, including the people of the village, have joined the preparations. Singer Kulwinder Billa and singer Kanwar Grewal are leading the arrangements.
The Antim Ardas will be performed in the village of Pona near Jagraon in Ludhiana. For this, the people of the village, including the administration, have made elaborate arrangements.
A stage has been set up in a field within the village where the ceremony will be held. Reports suggest that arrangements are being made for approximately 10,000 attendees. Singers Kulwinder Billa and Kanwar Grewal are overseeing these arrangements.
Negligence Alleged Against Shory Hospital, Pinjore in Singer’s Death
In a separate development, serious allegations of medical negligence have been levelled against Shory Hospital in Pinjore. The singer succumbed to his injuries after battling for life for 11 days following a road accident in Himachal Pradesh.
According to the Daily Diary Report (DDR) filed by the Pinjore police, it has been alleged that Shory Hospital refused to provide immediate emergency treatment to the critically injured Jawanda, delaying the care that could have potentially saved his life.
Lawyers for Human Rights International (LFHRI) have expressed deep concern over the growing insensitivity and negligence among doctors in hospitals across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. The organization has filed a petition on the matter in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The petition is scheduled for hearing on October 27, 2025, following the Diwali holidays. It urges the state governments and concerned authorities to ensure that no hospital denies emergency medical assistance to critically injured individuals, regardless of circumstances.
