HC Clears Diljit Dosanjh's Show with Strict Conditions, Orders Traffic Management and Sound Control

The High Court’s order emphasizes the need to control sound pollution during the concert.

Diljit Dosanjh Chandigarh Concert Latest News: In a significant ruling, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has given the green signal to singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming show, but with strict conditions to ensure public safety and minimize disruption. The court has directed the Chandigarh administration to take necessary measures for traffic management and ensure the safety of people attending the event.

The High Court’s order emphasizes the need to control sound pollution during the concert. The court has mandated that the sound levels should not exceed 75 decibels at the boundary of the show venue. If these sound limits are breached, legal action will be taken. This is in line with the city’s regulations for noise control, which aim to minimize disturbance to residents and the environment.

Additionally, the court has stated that the concert must conclude by 10 pm, as per existing guidelines that prohibit the use of loudspeakers after that hour. It has been made clear that the show organizers are expected to comply with these regulations to avoid any legal issues.

The High Court also ordered that after the event, the Chandigarh administration must submit a status report by 18th December. This report will detail the measures taken to adhere to the sound regulations and ensure that all safety and traffic management protocols were followed during the show.

The case will be heard again by the High Court on 18th December to review the compliance of the conditions set forth for the event.
