Gippy Grewal Arrest Warrant: In a shocking development, the Mohali Court issued a bailable warrant against Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal. Earlier, he was summoned by the Judicial Magistrate First Class of Mohali to provide testimony in a case. However, he failed to attend three of the court's scheduled appearances.
In the meanwhile, the court has now directed that Gippy Grewal be produced with a bailable warrant and a surety of Rs 5,000. Notably, the legal action came after Grewal's absence, despite the court's summons.
Originally, Gippy Grewal had filed a complaint at the Phase-8 police station against gangster Dilpreet Baba, accusing him of extortion and threats, which led to the registration of a case against him. The court stated that if Gippy Grewal doesn't appear on the next scheduled date, a non-bailable warrant will be issued against him.
Likewise, the next hearing is scheduled to be held on August 20.
Reportedly, a warrant was initially issued on July 4, wherein Gippy Grewal was asked to appear by July 10. However, Grewal had been residing in Canada for several months. Still, the court asked Gippy Grewal to physically appear before the court as his testimony was crucial to the case.
Unfortunately, Gippy Grewal did not appear in court, prompting the court to reissue the warrant.
