Recently, the 20-year-old athlete from Paraguay was allegedly kicked out of the Olympic Village for “creating an inappropriate atmosphere”.
However, Alonso refuted all such rumours. She said, “I just wanted to make it clear that I was never removed or expelled from anywhere, stop spreading false information,” she wrote in her Story. “I don’t want to give any statement but I’m not going to let lies affect me either.”

Luana Alonso is a college student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Alonso finished in sixth place during the women’s 100m butterfly event on July 27 at the Paris Olympics 2024 after which she failed to advance to the semifinals, kicking her out of the competition.
Apart from her swimming career, Alonso is also an influencer. After competing in the Paris Olympics Games 2024, Alonso announced her retirement from swimming.
