Chandigarh Police May Deny Permission Citing Inadequate Parking Arrangements

Arijit Singh Chandigarh Concert Latest News: In a disheartening turn of events, fans of the renowned playback singer Arijit Singh have been left dismayed as several reports claimed that Chandigarh Police have declined to grant permission for his scheduled concert on November 4, however there is no official confirmation in this regard. The Event, which was set to take place at the Exhibition Grounds in Sector 34, Chandigarh, has been marred by concerns surrounding insufficient parking facilities.

News Reports said that the Primary contention raised by the authorities revolves around the apparent lack of adequate parking arrangements, which are crucial for an event expected to draw more than 5,000 cars. Concert organizers have been accused of poor planning and criticized for their failure to submit a viable parking plan that meets the demands of the expected audience.

Several reports have been making rounds of social media that claim a letter was written by Chandigarh Police to Deputy Commissioner, however, the administration denied permission. However, there has been no official confirmation yet. Notably, more than 7,000 tickets were sold for the show. It is pertinent to mention that the tickets were being sold at Rs 1800 for students while other tickets were worth upto Rs 2 lakhs. 

Initially scheduled for May 27, 2023, the event had been postponed due to adverse weather conditions. The concert's prior delay and the reports of cancellation have left fans disheartened.
