B Praak Ransom Case: Singer Dilnoor Files Complaint Over Rs 10 Crore Threat
Renowned Bollywood and Punjabi singer B Praak has reportedly received a ransom threat of INR 10 crore, allegedly from an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Punjabi singer Dilnoor, a close friend of B Praak, filed a formal complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mohali.
According to Dilnoor's complaint, he received multiple missed calls from an overseas number on January 5. The next day, he answered another call from a different international number, which he disconnected after the conversation became suspicious.
Immediately after this, Dilnoor received a voice message containing the ransom threat. In the audio, the caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and put forward his demand of INR 10 crore to be paid within one week. He cautioned that B Praak would face "dire consequences" or serious harm if the demand was not met.
The caller claimed to be operating from outside India and warned that the threat should not be taken lightly.
The Mohali police have officially initiated an investigation into the matter.
B Praak is a prominent figure in the music industry, known for chart-topping hits such as Teri Mitti, Filhall, Ranjha, and Pachtaoge.
This threat follows a series of recent extortion and firing incidents linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, including gunfire reported outside business premises in Delhi earlier this year.
