Veteran actor Shabana Azmi, after casting her vote, spoke to the media and emphasised the importance of municipal elections.
“Municipal elections impact our lives the most; therefore, it is important to vote,” she said.

She also urged those who have not yet voted to exercise their democratic right, adding that the right to vote comes with responsibility and that those who do not vote lose the right to complain.

Actor Raza Murad also appealed to citizens to participate in the voting process after casting his vote.

Meanwhile, actor Saumya Tandon, who reached Dalmia College to vote, was informed that her polling booth was located in Goregaon West. Speaking to ANI, she said she had checked her polling booth details online before arriving.
“I don’t know why this confusion exists. I want to cast my vote as it is my right. I did not go for a shoot so that I could vote,” she said.

Fashion designer Manish Malhotra was also seen arriving at a polling station to cast his vote.

Actors Shraddha Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Rajat Kapoor, Milind Gunaji, producer Boney Kapoor, actors Padmini Kolhapure and Bhagyashree, among others, also exercised their franchise. Some actors praised the arrangements made by the BMC.

“The presence of security personnel is not limited to polling booths but extends to areas within a 100-metre radius and other sensitive locations,” he said.

Appealing to voters, the Police Commissioner added, “We urge all registered voters to exercise their right to vote freely and fearlessly.”
