The film features Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles. However, the film has been leaked on several torrent sites on the same day of the release. 

Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, who is one of the most decorated officers in the Indian army. He served for over four decades and fought in five wars. Sam Manekshaw is the first army officer who was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
