PM Modi mentioned that the youth of the country have always had a passion for doing something new and are equally aware as well.

Talking about providing a platform for the youth of the country to present their ideas, PM Modi said, “My youth friends ask me often that how they can further increase their contribution to nation building? How can they share their ideas? Many ask how can they give a presentation of their ideas to me?”

He added that the solution to this curiosity is the “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.”

Talking about a previous event held this year, PM Modi highlighted, “Friends, I felt really good after seeing that the participation of our youth in this program is increasing. A quize competition related to this event was held a few days ago. More than 50 lakh young people participated in it. An essay competition was also held in which students expressed their views on various topics. In this competition, Tamil Nadu came first and Uttar Pradesh came second.”

PM Modi further stated that the youth of the country today are getting new opportunities to showcase their talent, and many platforms are being developed for them to demonstrate their skills and interests.

One such platform is the ‘Smart India Hackathon,’ PM Modi said, adding that through this platform, ideas are turned into action. The ‘Smart India Hackathon 2025’ was concluded this month.

During the hackathon, students worked on more than 270 problems from 80 government departments, the Prime Minister noted.

The students provided solutions related to real-life challenges, such as traffic management. “Regarding this, the youth shared a very interesting perspective related to ‘Smart Traffic Management’,” PM Modi said.

The youth also presented their ideas on addressing challenges such as financial frauds and digital arrests. They suggested a cybersecurity framework for digital banking in villages as well.

Many youth focused on finding solutions to challenges in the agriculture sector, PM Modi further added.

In the last 7–8 years, more than 13 lakh students and over 6,000 institutions have participated in the ‘Smart India Hackathon’. The youth have also provided precise solutions to hundreds of problems, the PM said.

“Such hackathons are organized regularly from time to time,” PM Modi highlighted, while urging the youth to participate in these hackathons.

“Today’s life is becoming Tech-Driven, and changes that used to take centuries are now happening in just a few years,” he said.

“Sometimes, some people express concern that robots might even replace humans. In these changing times, staying connected to our roots is very important for human development,” PM Modi further said.

He also expressed happiness over the “next generation” holding on to the roots of their culture “very well,” while embracing new thinking and new approaches.
