UPSC Civil Services Result 2025 Declared: Anuj Agnihotri Tops Exam, 958 Candidates Recommended
The Union Public Service Commission on Friday declared the results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, recommending 958 candidates for appointment to various central services of the Government of India.
Anuj Agnihotri secured the first rank in the examination, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M in second place and Akansh Dhul in third, according to the merit list released by the commission.
The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the commission to recruit officers for key government services, including the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service and the Indian Police Service, along with several other central services.
The selection process is carried out in three stages — a preliminary examination, a main examination and a personality test or interview. Candidates who qualify all three stages are recommended for appointment based on their final ranking.
The commission stated that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.
Earlier, the central government had announced a total of 1,087 vacancies to be filled through the Civil Services Examination 2025.
To assist candidates seeking information about the examination or recruitment process, a facilitation counter has been set up at the commission’s campus. Candidates can obtain clarifications related to their examinations or recruitment in person or through telephone on working days between 10 am and 5 pm.
The commission added that the marks of candidates will be made available on its website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the results.
