Starting the investigation, we did keyword search on this matter. If Glenn Maxwell had touched Sachin Tendulkar's feet, then that news would have taken the form of a headline, but we did not got any official news about the viral claim.

However, we found a video which was shared by the ICC claiming that the Afghanistan team met Sachin Tendulkar at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this video, the moments of the meeting between Sachin Tendulkar and the Afghanistan team can be seen.

Notable thing in this video was that Sachin Tendulkar is wearing same T-shirt seen in the viral picture. Sachin is wearing a striped t-shirt and the same t-shirt can be seen in the viral picture too.

Moving ahead, keeping this information in mind, we did keyword search and we found Sachin's picture on the image stock website Getty Images which was exactly the same as the viral picture. The difference in this picture was that Sachin was shaking hands with a member of the Afghanistan cricket team and Glenn Maxwell was not in it.

Similarities between the viral image and the original image can be seen in the collage below.
