PM Modi congratulates Vaishali Rameshbabu for winning FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss 2025 Latest News: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, congratulated Vaishali Rameshbabu for winning the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss 2025. 

"Her passion and dedication are exemplary. Best wishes for her future endeavours", PM Modi stated.
In a post on X today, the Prime Minister said,“Outstanding accomplishment. Congrats to Vaishali Rameshbabu. Her passion and dedication are exemplary. Best wishes for her future endeavours."  

Vaishali Rameshbabu is the Winner of the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss 2025, the International Chess Federation said. 
Vaishali has claimed this title for the second consecutive time and secured her spot in the Women’s Candidates 2026.  She is the first player to win the women’s FIDE Grand Swiss title for a second consecutive time.

Vaishali became the third Indian to qualify for the Candidates 2026.

Indian chess grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa took to X, congratulating Vaishali on her achievement. 

So proud of you, akka! Winning the FIDE Women’s Grand Swiss is such an incredible achievement. The confidence and determination you’ve shown throughout the tournament has been truly inspiring. Big congratulations on this amazing victory! So proud of you, akka!” Praggnanandhaa said in the post on X.
