Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday felicitated cricketer Shafali Verma, a member of the ICC Women's World Cup-winning Indian Women's Cricket Team.
The Chief Minister also presented her with Rs 1.5 crore and a Grade A grading certificate.
Additionally, the Haryana Women’s Commission appointed Shafali as its brand ambassador, according to ANI.

CM Nayab Singh Saini said, "Shafali has brought honour not only to the state but to the entire country. Shefali is an inspiration to the youth of the entire nation."
The Indian women's cricket team won their first World Cup on November 2, 2025, defeating South Africa in the final in Navi Mumbai.
