India’s women’s cricket team scripted history yesterday by winning their first-ever World Cup after defeating South Africa in the finals at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium.
Among the players who made the entire nation proud with their hard work and achievement was Amanjot Kaur from Mohali, Punjab.
Following this massive victory, the cricketer’s family back home in Mohali is planning to welcome her with a grand celebration.

Amanjot Kaur’s mother, Ranjit Kaur, expressing her happiness over the win, said the family spoke to Amanjot after the match but could not talk much as she was emotional.
