WWE WrestleMania 2024, Universal Championship Match: It may not be Cody Rhodes who will fight against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 because it seems Roman will face his cousin, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for the title match. This change happened on "WWE SmackDown."  On Friday night, Roman Reigns spoke about his WrestleMania opponent. He reacted to Seth Rollins, who wanted Rhodes to face Reigns. Reigns disagreed with Rollins, saying he won't beg Rhodes for attention like Rollins did.

Rhodes then entered, and things got tensed. He hinted that Roman Reigns was his WrestleMania choice. He emphasized that the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship wasn't just a Hollywood title but a title his father held at Madison Square Garden, and taken away later. Rhodes wondered if his story would end by beating "The Tribal Chief" or taking everything from Reigns. It seemed like they were ready for a rematch.

But then, Rhodes surprised everyone by saying he won't challenge Reigns at WrestleMania. Instead, he claimed to have spoken to someone close to Reigns. The twist suggests a new direction for WrestleMania 2024, with The Rock possibly stepping in to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship Match.
