Two Punjabi Men Arrested With Gun and Heroin After Brampton House Shooting
Two men of Punjabi origin arrested in Bramptom latest News: Brampton, Canada – June 16, 2025: Peel Regional Police have arrested two men of Punjabi origin in connection with a shooting at a residence in Brampton and recovered a loaded firearm and black tar heroin.
According to the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau, the investigation began on April 24, 2025, following reports of a shooting near Raindrop Terrace and Mississauga Road in Brampton.
On June 4, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the Swanton Road and Victoriaville Road area. During the search, police recovered a 9mm Glock handgun, a 17-round magazine with 16 rounds of ammunition, and a quantity of black tar heroin.
The two accused, both residents of Brampton, have been identified as Maninder Singh, 23, charged with:
- Discharging a firearm in a reckless manner
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition while knowing possession is unauthorized
- Possession of a firearm with an altered serial number
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
The second accused is identified as Tirath Singh, 24. He is charged with intentionally discharging a firearm recklessly.
Both individuals were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
