The third knock of Covid-19 is challenging in punjabi

In fact, the first case of the new strain of Covid-19 was found in Kerala itself about 15 days ago.

The third knock of Covid-19 is challenging in punjabi: Covid disease has also reached Chandigarh and Punjab. On Tuesday, a 40-year-old man admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, was found to be suffering from the JN-1 variant of Covid. He died on Wednesday. This person was a resident of Firozabad (U.P.).

He was also suffering from respiratory problems. Similarly, on the same day, a 25-year-old man in Firozpur also tested positive for Covid. He is also said to be suffering from the JN-1 variant. The number of people suffering from this disease in Haryana has reached 7. According to the announcements of the health officials, the current form of the ‘Covid-19’ pandemic is not fatal.

However, this disease can prove to be fatal if patients with diabetes or asthma or other respiratory diseases do not take proper precautions. According to warnings issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the ‘Covid-19’ virus is not going to go away anytime soon. Viruses know how to extend their lifespan and in case a cure is found for one variant, they keep adopting new forms through the mutation process. But in doing so, their lethality usually decreases.

They are no longer deadly. Despite the new forms of ‘Covid-19’ spreading in almost the entire Asia and more than half of Europe, the reason why global organizations like the World Health Organization and national governments have not shown much concern or vigilance towards the spread of the current strain of the disease is because the JN-1 variant is not deadly.

According to data released by the National Health Authority, which monitors epidemics, there were 1,010 positive cases of Covid-19 in India till 8 pm on Tuesday! Of these, 104 cases were from Delhi alone. At present, the highest number of active cases (430) is in Kerala. The next number is Maharashtra (210 cases).

In fact, the first case of the new strain of Covid-19 was found in Kerala itself about 15 days ago. That person had gone for Hajj in Saudi Arabia. After this case came to light, the number of patients in Kerala continued to increase. One death was also reported. Despite this, health experts advised people to avoid panic, but did not suggest starting a vaccination campaign.

These experts are of the opinion that not one, but three new strains of ‘Covid-19’ are currently spreading in the world. But all three are not very dangerous. That is why there is no need to scold people at home or keep them dry. However, the spread of all three types can be prevented by simple precautions like wearing masks in crowded places, washing hands frequently with soap and maintaining a certain distance from the patient.

The World Health Organization has even declared that the vaccines developed during the ‘Covid-19’ pandemic are as effective in the current situation as they were in 2019-20. However, such declarations do not mean that precautions should be relaxed. In fact, the central and state governments should be prepared for any future emergency; both in terms of arranging separate wards in hospitals and also by arranging stocks of oxygen cylinders and medicines.

The situation of 2021 should be avoided at all costs when the shortage of oxygen cylinders and hospital beds proved to be life-threatening for hundreds of patients.

Various forms of respiratory diseases have been wreaking havoc on human lives across the world. In fact, far more deaths than COVID-19 have been caused by pulmonary TB or asthma-related diseases. The difference is that most of these diseases are not infectious or contagious. COVID-19 is an infectious disease.

Despite not being life-threatening, being alert to the dangers associated with it should be a key feature of our healthcare system. The sudden attack of the Delta strain of COVID in 2021 had put governments around the world, including ours, on alert for three months. Now is the time to put into practice the lessons learned since then. Any lapse in this regard will be considered intolerable.
