Two Men Arrested For Leaving Inflammatory Device Under Fox 13 News Channel’s Vehicles Latest News : Two men identified as Adeeb Nasir (58) and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir (31) have been arrested in the US for allegedly leaving an inflammatory device underneath a Fox 13 News Vehicle, the ANI reported, citing the news channel.
Their action also resulted in the evacuation of a Magna neighborhood, after the Federal Bureau of Investigation had served an overnight warrant on their home.
The two arrested accused were booked into jail and now face several charges, which include threat of terrorism, possessing weapons of mass destruction, and possessing explosive devices.
According to the report, the incendiary device underneath the news Channel’s vehicle was located on Friday and determined to be real. It is reported that the device had been lit, but it failed to function, the officials said.
On Saturday, the FBI served a warrant on the home to ensure no other explosive devices were a danger inside.
The two men were located at the home, and they told the investigators that the ‘two hoax weapons of mass destruction’ which were discovered by the officials during the search were ‘real’.
The report added that due to the devices, the home was evacuated, alongside the nearby homes in the neighborhood.
Fox 13 News is working closely with law enforcement and their risk management team, with the safety of their employees as their top priority, said Fox 13 station manager Leona Wood.
The incident comes shortly after American conservative leader Charlie Kirk, a close ally of President Trump, was shot dead on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.
The alleged gunman, identified as Tyler Robinson, was taken into custody by the FBI on Thursday evening.
Trump has blamed the ‘radical left’ for the shooting during an address on Thursday, according to the ANI report.
