50-year-old Spanish athlete Beatriz Flamini set a record for living alone in a 230-feet deep and dark cave for 500 days. She entered the cave on 21 November 2021. She celebrated her two birthdays in the cave. Significantly, Two cameras were installed for her security in the cave.
Beatriz Flamini completed her 500-day challenge living 70 meters (230 feet) deep in a cave outside Granada with minimal contact outside. As per the reports, While talking to the journalists, Flamini said, "Time had flown by and i did not want to come out."
She said, "When they came in to get me, I was asleep. I reacted and said- ‘Already? Surely not.’ I hadn’t finished my book."
The athlete's team said that Flamini was 48 when she went into the cave. She broke a world record for the longest time spent in a cave in an experiment monitored by scientists studying the human mind.
