Nepal Gen Z Protest Against Ban on Social Media Platforms in Nepal Latest News: 16 people have died so far in the protest against the government in Nepal after it banned 26 social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
According to ANI, Nepal Police has confirmed the death toll. Over 100 youths have been injured in the protest.
In what is dubbed as the ‘Gen Z revolution,’ over 12,000 young protesters entered the Parliament House premises on Monday morning. This was the first intrusion into Nepal’s parliament in its history.
According to reports, the protesters occupied Gate No. 1 and 2 of the Parliament, following which the government imposed curfew near the Parliament, and around the residences of the President, Vice President, and Prime Minister.
According to reports, the government has ordered shoot-at-sight against miscreants.
