The report said they drowned after their tractor-trolley was swept away by the River Tons in Vikasnagar. One person died in Nainital district, and another fatality was reported from Pithoragarh district.

The Ganga and Yamuna rivers are in spate and flowing near warning levels, while the Tamsa river is flowing close to the danger mark.

As per the latest updates, Dehradun and Nainital have been placed under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall, while the remaining districts in the state have been warned of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and other adverse weather conditions.

Meanwhile, in the forecast, there are no weather warnings for any district in Himachal Pradesh for today and for the next few days; however, a few districts remain under a yellow alert warning of light rain in the nowcast.
