 Uttrakhand CM Dhami Urges Everyone To Embrace Mahatma Gandhi’s Values on Gandhi Jayanti Latest News: Uttrakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary on thursday, urging everyone to embrace his values of truth, non-violence, cleanliness, and simplicity for a stronger nation.

Dhami also paid tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri. 

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a post on X said, “Paid tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister 'Bharat Ratna' Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri by offering floral tributes on their birth anniversary at the official residence.”

“Gandhiji's immortal message of truth, non-violence, and simple living continues to guide humanity even today. Shastriji's sacrifice, simplicity, and slogan "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" are a strong foundation for nation-building. Your dedication, devotion, and ideals will continue to inspire us all to work dedicatedly for the welfare of the nation,” he added. 

Today also marks the international day of non violence. In 2007, the United Nations General Assembly declared October 2 as the International Day of Non-Violence.
