Stalking of girls is there but 'Vikas' is not evident anywhere?

Munish Nagar: When the BJP won the general elections in 2014, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on the development (Vikas) and also gave a slogan of ‘Save the girl child.’

After three years, the people of the country are eagerly waiting for the development means ‘Vikas’ in Hindi. However, Modi’s so called ‘Vikas’ was caught by the police for stalking a girl in Chandigarh.

Vikas Barala, the son of Haryana BJP Chief Subhash Barala was arrested by Chandigarh Police and later released on bail same day for stalking a girl of senior IAS officer of Haryana cadre. The boy accompanied by his friend was allegedly under the influence of liquor.

Even he ?got a friendly treatment in the police station where? he spent some time ? past midnight?. The victim told the police that the accused and his friends stalked her? and even they ?attempted to kidnap her. However, the ?re are reports? Chandigarh Police?,? under the pressure of BJP ruling government, diluted the charges against the accused to grant him bail then and there in the police station. Instead of so called "vikas", there is stalking of ? girls on the roads during midnight. ?

That is in a way " vikas" ( pun intended) on the law and order side. Luckily, the girl’s father is an IAS officer but for Chandigarh Police nobody is above BJP. ?Had she not been a daughter of IAS office, what would have happened to this entire episode, one can well imagine.

Even the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has sided with Subhash Barala and told the media that he won’t pay for the action of his son. A trend on twitter #????_????_?????_?? (Save the daughter from BJP) has been trending since morning on Monday. People showed their ire against the BJP ruling government for shielding the top gun’s son. Twitterati showed their ire against the BJP with their hard hitting comments.

Fida Ali mentioned, “Girl’s father, IAS Officer, should be ready for tax raid…..this is the way BJP deals with the cases.” Mohammad Talha wrote, “BJP running Beti Bachao Abhiyan. Protecting all BJP leaders’ Criminal Beta’s.” Dhiraj tweeted, “Dear India, this is what BJP is all about, it's high time that we #????_????_?????_??” MD. N. Tamanna said in his tweet, “why only beti bachao from bjp..it should be desh bachao from bjp.”

After a strong criticism of people, BJP state unit of Haryana has not come out with any statement of taking action against the stalker ‘Vikas Barala.’ The Vice-President of BJP Haryana Unit Ramveer Bhatt faced flak for his statement blaming the victim. Bhatt told the media that the girl should not have gone out at 12 in the night. He further said that why she was driving so late in the night?

Why Bhatt gave his immature statement against the victim? He forgot to ask what boy was doing at midnight? He should have asked this question to Vikas Brala's father. Otherwise also, the BJP is known to be a party of puritans. Drinking is not expected from the wards of the BJP leaders especially from the son of the BJP's state president, who should be a role model for all rank and file.?

Instead of calling for an action against his Chief, he blamed the girl that why was she out at late night. The girl is a DJ and our law not prohibits any citizen to go out any time. Why Chandigarh police? deliberately shielded the accused?

When the girl found herself in trouble during that night when Vikas along with his friends was chasing the ?her car, she ?made a distress call on emergency number( 100) to seek police's help?, which is itself a proof that she was in trouble. The stalkers ? tried hard to block girl ?'s car but she repeatedly dodged them exhibiting amazing courage and presence of mind.

W?hen police reached the spot, the cops also saw? that Vikas had blocked the girl ?'s vehicle?. Police caught the accused on the spot. Police should have been the primary complainant. Undoubtedly, the attempt was to kidnap the girl. The boys chased the girls ?for long and tried to corner her. Moreover, she was frequently pressing horns at that time. However, the police gave VVIP treatment to Vikas in police station. ?

That has been alleged by the close relations of the girl.? Is this really ‘Vikas’ in Modi’s Raj or his close confidant M L Khattar's raj?? The nation has been continuously witnessing troubles in this? regime ?. Is this really development in the country?
