Dr Ghandhi has once again proved his strength to be able to work constructively with his opponents. His endeavour to link the state capital of Punjab, chandigarh with ten districts bore fruit. Dr Ghandhi had beeb seeking support to build a 24 km rail link between Rajpura-Mohali/Chandigarh . The project was held as the land acquisition of 78 crores was not getting the government nod. Finance Minister Manpreet Badal after getting approval from Cm Amrinder, gave the go ahead for the land acquisition. Once the rail link is ready, it will boost the trade and tourism industry. It will provide affordable travel to the state capital for the people of ten districts of Malwa and Rajasthan.
