AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi called on Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh here on Saturday evening to condole the death of the latter's mother Rajmata Mohinder Kaur.
Rahul met Captain Amarinder at Kapurthala House and spent about 40 minutes with him. Rahul expressed his sympathies for Captain Amarinder and his family over their sad loss.

The AICC Vice President also conveyed the condolences of his mother, party president Sonia Gandhi.
A spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) quoted Rahul as saying a parent's loss could not be compensated and he could empathise with Captain Amarinder and the rest of the family in their hour of grief.
