Punjab Weather Warnings for Today, August 31 Latest News: Several districts in Punjab are under red alerts. Districts have been warned of very heavy rainfall on August 31.
Punjab Weather Nowcast for August 31 (Valid until 1:30 PM Today): Three districts of Punjab, SAS Nagar, Patiala, and Sangrur, are under a red alert, warning of heavy rain in the nowcast. The nowcast is valid till 1:30 PM today.
Adjoining, five districts are under an orange alert, warning of moderate rain. The five districts are Rupnagar, Nawashahr, Ludhiania, Barnala, and Mansa.
Six districts have been warned of light rain under a yellow alert in the nowcast, and the districts under the yellow alert are Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Moga, and Bathinda.
No warnings have been issued in the remaining eight districts, all in the west Punjab.
Punjab Weather Forecast for the Entire Day for August 31: In its forecast, a prediction for the entire day for August 31, the India Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, has issued orange alerts in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar, warning of very heavy rainfall.
Another eleven districts in the state have been placed under a Yellow alert warning of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and more.
No warnings have been issued in the remaining districts in the forecast.
Punjab Weather Observed in the past 24 hours
Compared to yesterday, as reported at 8:30 am, today there is a drop in the average minimum temperature of -1.3 degrees Celsius and it is near normal in the state. Bathinda weather station recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 21.6 degrees Celsius.
