Human Rights Commission Seeks Report from Punjab Govt. on Hoshiarpur Gas Tanker Explosion News: The National Human Rights Commission has sought a report from the Punjab government regarding the gas tanker explosion that killed eight people in the village of Mandiayala in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab.

The Commission stated that even after one month has passed, neither the victim families have received any compensation, nor have those whose houses were destroyed been given any financial aid.

The Commission has issued notices to the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the SSP of Hoshiarpur, and the Chief Controller of the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) under the Ministry of Industry, asking them to submit a report within two weeks.

According to reports, a LPG tanker and a pickup truck collision resulted in a massive explosion and fire in Punjab's Mandiala village in the Hoshiarpur district in Late August this year. 

A total of 23 people were injured in the incident.
