Sukhbir Singh Badal recently appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib

Sri Akal Takht Sahib Verdict on Sukhbir Singh Badal Latest News Today: In a recent development and a major turn of events, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the highest temporal seat of Sikhism, on Friday declared Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal as 'tankhaiya'. 

While he has been declared 'tankhaiya', the other former ministers, who were part of the SAD-led government in Punjab, have been asked to tender an apology within 15 days. 

Likewise, the Jathedar ‎Giani Raghbir Singh said that the Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal must apologise. The SAD cabinet from 2007-2017 asked to appear before the Akal Takht to explain their actions which caused harm to Sikh Panth.

It is pertinent to mention that Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal had, on Thursday, announced Balwinder Singh Bhundar as the working president of the party ahead of Sri Akal Takht Sahib's verdict. 

In the meanwhile, Sukhbir Singh Badal said, "Das bows his head and accepts the order issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the highest shrine of Miri Piri. According to the order, I will soon appear in front of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and apologise."
