Unidentified Assailants on Motorcycles Target Prominent SAD Leader, Sparking Fear & Concern in Meghowal Ganjian Village

HOSHIARPUR: In a deeply distressing incident, Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Sarpanch, Surjit Singh Ankhi, fell victim to a fatal shooting in the local village of Meghowal Ganjian situated in Hoshiarpur. The assault transpired when two unknown assailants on a motorcycle targeted the respected SAD leader, leaving the community in shock and fear.

The Assailants, yet to be identified, carried out the brazen attack on Surjit Singh Ankhi, inflicting serious injuries. In a state of distress, he was swiftly transported to a private hospital in Hoshiarpur for urgent medical attention. Tragically, medical professionals pronounced him deceased due to the severity of his wounds. Notably, Police have promptly initiated a comprehensive investigation into this tragic event, aiming to identify the culprits and establish the motive behind this heinous act.
