CHANDIGARH: Punjab Cyber Cell has registered a case against an unidentified person for spreading false information about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's educational qualification on social media. The cyber cell has written to Twitter asking for the information about account of the accused.
AAP leader Narinder Singh, a resident of Brahman Majra village of Nurpur Bedi police station in district Ropar, said in the complaint that a post was uploaded through a Twitter handle a few days ago. It read, "Another feat by a fanatical honest party". In it, information was given about the educational qualification of Arvind Kejriwal. A fake document was also attached to this post.
It was written that the Chief Minister of Delhi did not get admission in IITs on the basis of merit but he studied from the corporate quota. It also had a black and white photograph of Kejriwal. Narinder Singh said that after seeing this post on social media, he received calls from many people. The cyber cell has registered a case under Sections 469, 419, 120-B of IPC and IT Act 2000 against the unidentified accused in this case.
