Earlier, on Feb 24, 2023, the SIT presented the first challan of 7000 pages

CHANDIGARH: Supplementary challan has been presented in the case related to Bargari sacrilege case and Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing case. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by ADGP LK Yadav probing the case has submitted one more supplementary chargesheet U/S 173(8) of 2400 pages in the court of Magistrate Ajaipal Singh.
 
Notably, In column 4 of the 2400-page challan, former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Sumedh Singh Saini, former DGP, Paramraj Singh Umarnagal, former CP Ludhiana, Charanjit Sharma, former SSP Moga, Amar Singh Chahal Former DIG Ferozepur range, Sukhmandar Maan, former SSP Faridkot, Gurdeep Singh, former SHO City Kotkapura have been named as accused.

Sanction under Section 197 of the CrPC has been received from the Punjab Government to initiate prosecution against the accused. 112 page supplementary charge sheet has been submitted along with 2374 pages of facts, documents, sanction orders and CFSL report. Earlier, on February 24, 2023, the SIT presented the first challan of 7000 pages under section 173.
