According to Ludhiana SP DK Chaudhary, voting counting commenced at 8 a.m. this morning.
Ludhiana West By Poll Election Result 2025 Winner Highlights: The much-anticipated Ludhiana West by-election concluded with AAP's Sanjeev Arora winning the seat and giving a boost to the Aam Aadmi Party. The seat fell vacant earlier this year following the untimely demise of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi.
The counting commenced at 8 a.m. this morning with over 450 police personnel deployed in and around the counting centre to maintain law and order.
The by-election witnessed a high-octane campaign season, with candidates from major political parties — including the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal — vying for the urban constituency's mandate. Over 1.74 lakh voters were eligible to cast their votes in this crucial bypoll, which many view as a litmus test for the ruling AAP government in Punjab.
And AAP did passed the test and not just passed it but topped it.
