Police suspect Amritpal to be in Uttarakhand: Sources
KHANNA: The Punjab Police on Thursday (March 23) arrested 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh gunman who used to be present with him every time, said reports.
DSP Harsimrat Singh said that Amritpal's gunman Tajinder Singh Gill has been arrested. He worked as a gunman under Amritpal Singh. Many pictures of him armed with weapons can be seen on social media.
He further said that when the record was checked, it was found that he did not have a gun license. FIR under section 188 of IPS was registered against him. He was also involved in the Ajnala violence case. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
Notably, Punjab police's hunt for 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh is ongoing even on the sixth day. According to police sources, Amritpal has fled from Punjab. Police suspect him to be in Uttarakhand.
