22-year-old youth killed in a road accident

A 22-year-old youth was killed after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a Punjab Roadways bus at the Sector 31/Ram Darbar light point today.

As per the sources, the victim had been identified as Arun Kumar, a resident of Bapu Dham Colony. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The speeding bus was being driven by Shisha Singh. A case has been registered against the driver at the Sector 31 police station.

The driver was arrested and later released on bail. The bus has been impounded. The police said the victim was employed with a private firm.
