Punjab News: Major Accident While Loading Gunpowder into Potash Gun, 24-Year-Old Youth in Critical Condition: A 24-year-old youth named Suraj, residing in Chaudhary Colony, Zirakpur, was seriously injured in an accident and is currently undergoing treatment at PGI Hospital, Chandigarh, where his condition remains critical.
The incident occurred when Suraj was filling gunpowder into a potash gun (a locally made device fashioned from an iron pipe) when a powerful explosion suddenly took place, leaving him badly injured and bleeding profusely.
The blast was so strong that the windows of the house shattered. According to information received, the explosion was so intense that both of Suraj’s palms were severed in the incident.
