Dera Chief should not be granted parole in the future: Petition 

CHANDIGARH: A Public Interest Petition has been filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the parole to Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in future. While hearing the petition, the High Court has issued a notice to the Haryana government and sought its response.

The Lawyers for Human Rights International organization has alleged in the petition that the Haryana government had recently granted parole to Ram Rahim, which he misused and violated the parole code of conduct and played with religious sentiments by holding online events. Dera chief has issued derogatory statements for Ravidassia category, after which a case was also registered against him in Jalandhar. Earlier, A sacrilege case was also registered against Ram Rahim.

The Petition stated that Dera chief has violated the rules of parole and he should not be granted parole in the future and especially during the hearing of the present petition. The High Court has issued a notice to the Haryana government and sought its response in the matter.
