HC ordered to produce Amritpal Singh within a week

CHANDIGARH: 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh's legal advisor Imaan Singh Khara has filed a habeas corpus petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which was heard today and a response has been submitted by the Punjab government.

Giving information about this, Advocate Imaan Singh Khara said that the High Court is not convinced of the information given by the police. According to him, the High Court is not convinced that someone who has so many cases registered and the police of the entire Punjab is behind him, can escape.

Advocate said that the High Court thinks that this is a story created by the police. This is why, the court has ordered the police to produce Amritpal Singh next week. He further said that Amritpal Singh's father has received information from many eyewitnesses that Amritpal has been detained by the police, many videos of which are also going viral. He said that during the next hearing, he will present the news, videos etc which are running in the media on the basis of evidence. The next hearing in the case is scheduled to be held on March 27.
