Punjab Cyber Crime Police Raids Hotel on Palahi Road in Phagwara Latest News: In a major raid on a hotel located on Palahi Road in Phagwara last night, Cyber Crime Police Station Kapurthala and Phagwara City Police arrested 38 people, busting a major cyber fraud racket.
The raid is still underway.
According to sources, the Phagwara Police, led by DSP Bharat Bhushan and Inspector Amandeep Kaur of the Cyber Cell Kapurthala, carried out the raid.
During this raid, along with the arrest of 38 people, 40 laptops, 67 mobile phones, and Rs 10 lakh in cash were seized. In video footage, police were seen taking away chairs, also.
An FIR No. 14, dated 19 September 2025, has been registered against the accused at Police Station Cyber Crime Kapurthala.
The arrested accused have been booked under Sections 111, 318(4), and 61(2) of the Indian Penal Code, and Sections 66C and 66D of the IT Act.
Further investigation is underway to trace the larger network and the sources of the money transactions.
