Paramilitary Forces Ensure Security; Raids Across Branches in the Country
LUDHIANA: The Income Tax Department has initiated raids on Trident and Cremica Group, spanning various branches across the country. Teams from the IT department have arrived in Ludhiana and Barnala, Punjab, for the investigation. During the ongoing operation, strict security measures are in place, with no entry or exit allowed, and employees' phones have been temporarily confiscated. A total of 35 teams from the Income Tax Department are actively conducting these raids.
Trident Group, a conglomerate with diverse operations in yarn, home textile, paper, stationery, chemicals, and adaptive power sectors, is a primary target of this raid. The investigation aims to uncover any potential irregularities or discrepancies in financial matters related to these businesses.
